Genji could offer little in the way of answers. It had been to inflict pain, to cause suffering. The lichs, clearly in league with the Chakari cult, wanted no information, no surrender. They simply wanted to harm him.

Wai Jou must hold the answer. And so, Basho Genji began preparations to lead an expedition to that city in the Direlands. A recently arrive cohort of Sho soldiers, veterans of the war against the Alluvians in Gharun land, were said to hold information on the recent activities of Gharun cultists in Ispar.

And, so, the story will continue.
